Project Documentation
What I did
- Authored game design documents (GDDs) and visual design documents (VDDs)
- Drew system diagrams and level design mockups that align art, programming, and audio
- Wrote deconstructions of historically significant games
Problem
Documentation has to be readable by both technical and non-technical teammates.
This is a collection of documentation I have written as a game designer and programmer: game design documents (GDDs), visual design documents (VDDs), system diagrams, and level design mockups, plus deconstructions of historical games. The full set is in the Drive folder linked above.
Challenges
Making technical documentation accessible to both technical and non-technical team members.
Outcome and lessons
This work has improved my communication skills and my understanding of how games were developed in earlier eras.
